Parenting on Purpose
You want them to clean their room and take out the trash but they’d rather play Xbox or talk on the phone. Often as parents, we turn towards anger or control to force the behavior we’re looking for in our kids. However, that does not build the love and a deep connections that help us guide them in the right choices of life. For three weeks we will bring the principles of the Kingdom of God to parenting and learn to replace the tools of yelling, punishing, and fear with the language and phrasing that will help parents manage themselves and foster an environment where children of all ages can proactively learn to solve their own issues and problems.
