What We Believe

Rancho Vista is a partner church in the Evangelical Covenant denomination. With historical roots in the Protestant Reformation, all Covenant churches hold to the affirmations of Christianity regarding the Bible as the Word of God and the only perfect guide for our faith, doctrine and conduct.
We believe in the following Christian truths:

That God is our Creator and Loving Father

That Jesus, His Son, came to be our Savior and show us life at its very best

That the Holy Spirit is at work in the world and the church, drawing people to Himself

That to love God and others are life’s most important pursuit

That we are separated from God by sin and need to experience a spiritual rebirth to live forever as His child.

We take the Bible seriously. It is like no other book, for God has breathed life into it. It is completely true and teaches us what we need to know about God, ourselves, and how life is to be lived.

With a firm commitment to the core of the Christian faith, as clearly revealed in the Bible, we celebrate an atmosphere of freedom in matters of individual interpretation and practice within Biblical guidelines. As a result, Christians from a variety of backgrounds and individuals who are new to the Christian faith find the Covenant church an easy place to call “home”. As a denomination we major on the majors and minor on the minors.

As a church connected to a denomination, we are partners with hundreds of other churches around the United States, Canada, and the world. Through our common ministry we are better able to serve our communities and world in a way that we would not be able to on our own. We strongly believe that we serve Christ better together. God is at work through the partnership of the Evangelical Covenant Church as it extends its influence to 5 continents around the globe.
