New To RVC?
The very first thing we’ll ask of you is simple: relax.
You’re with friends. Even if you’ve never been in church before, you’ll have no worries about being flagged as a “newbie.” Or finding yourself “volunteered” to make seven dozen cookies for the first grade class.
What you will find is this:
- a casual atmosphere
- friendly people who’ll help you find your way around
- today’s music, high-impact media presentations
- messages relevant to your daily life
- an amazing children’s ministry
- that you matter to God - and to RVC
Whether you’re single, married, single again, with or without children - no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done - we invite you to experience the difference here.
What Should I Expect When I Visit?
We appreciate how important finding a church home is to you and your family. It is our hope that you’ll find Rancho Vista Church a place where you and your family can find encouragement and hope, feel like you belong, and enjoy being surrounded by a network of people who genuinely care about each other. To help you here’s some information to help you on your first visit:
Where am I? Check out the campus map to orient yourself with our facility at Otay Ranch High School. When you arrive, feel free to park in the yellow curb spaces near our entrance. These are specially located for your convenience.
One of the first things you’ll notice is our WELCOME station where you’ll find friendly greeters who can help introduce you to what’s going on at Rancho Vista Church. The first face you’ll see as you approach the church is sure to have a smile on it and whether you need childcare or are looking for a place for your growing family, the greeter team and staff are ready and available to help you get where you need to go.
Remember that the atmosphere is friendly and dress is casual. Dress comfortably for you. At Rancho Vista Church We’re more concerned with meeting your real-life needs than with what you wear. So, dress casually and you’ll fit right in.
Our worship service is also designed to help you discover the joy and truth God has for you. You’ll enjoy upbeat music and practical messages that help you deal with real-life issues and provide practical tools to put what you learn into action. We believe that what we learn on Sunday should be useful every day of the week. We’ll even give you a helpful outline with the Bible passages we discuss so you can get even more out of the weekend. It’s our goal to help you connect with the personal hope and practical help that God can give us. As a first time visitor, we offer our worship service as a gift to you, and ask that you do not feel obligated to participate in the offering.
What Does RVC Have For My Family?
RVC has lots to offer any family. Our children’s ministry is called Promiseland4Kidz . We know that as a parent you need be sure that your children are in a SAFE learning environment and your children will grow in a place where they are both cared for and have fun while they learn. We’ve invested a lot to make sure that these goals are reached. You’ll see it in our classrooms and even more in the volunteers who work with your kids. So if it’s our nursery/toddler areas, preschool, or our K-5 grade classes you’ll find an age-appropriate classroom to meet the needs of your kids.
Teenagers are unique and special to God and at RVC we have a fantastic program for teen students called Velocity Student Ministries. Velocity offers an upbeat and honest environment for your teenager to discover the truths about God’s love for young people. We encourage parents and youth to contact our Velocity coordinators, Dave Foreman, to find out more about this exciting program. Believe it our not, we want to hang out with your teen!
As our guest we want you to know that if you choose to keep your children with you in service that’s okay too! Also we want you to know that the offering is for those who are part of the church family. Instead of wanting you to give something, we want you to get something!
Get your family aquainted with ours…
After the service we also have a hospitality time where you and your family can enjoy a snack, some coffee and get to know a few new friends and neighbors. This is a great time to meet our staff and we encourage you to ask any question you might have. All in all, we hope you find Rancho Vista the place you are looking for to grow and build relationships. We look forward to meeting you!
